Polypropylene is an excellent general purpose webbing strap for bags, leads, harnesses, camping applications etc.  As polypropylene webbing floats it is also useful for a wide range of marine uses. It is hard to ignite and burns quite slowly, webbing ends can be sealed by gently heating them until melting begins.
